Born on May 16, 1967 in Portsmouth, Hampshire, John Potter spent most of his childhood daydreaming. Mostly he wanted to save the world or failing that be a goalkeeper. Realising he didn’t have what was needed for either, he focused on a career as a programmer. A decade later he was working for himself, which took him around the world. In 2002 he watched a movie made by Peter Jackson and realised everything he wanted to say and achieve, existed within the creative realm. Having spent a lifetime daydreaming wild stories he set about focusing on making the imagery play as words on the page. So he decided to set up his own publishing company. The goal was to produce a book that was at least as polished and entertaining, from cover to cover, as the best large publishing houses could produce. Chasing Innocence was published on January 31 2012.
