Readers are raving about today’s intense political thriller, The Devil’s Handshake by Michael Reagan. Kirkus reviews says, “Reagan turns his 500-plus pages into a searing epic.”
A Little About The Devil’s Handshake:
Packed with facts and an array of “hidden truths” from the shadowy world of the power brokers. Spanning three decades and entwining those who follow him and the loved ones he has sworn to protect “The Devil’s Handshake” is the first book in the Sir Thomas Litchfield series about an ex SAS solider turned Oligarch, who treads a dangerous path within a spiraling circle of treachery that governs the new cold war fought between the nations of the world.
About the Author:
Michael Reagan experiences have provided in part, the background to his Litchfield character, the chief protagonist of the book.
By the end of the 1990s, employed in a rather peculiar role, within a private office of a royal family in the Middle East he found himself gaining insight not just into the workings of the region’s royal families.Negotiating everything from hunting rights, the paying of gambling debts of young sheikhs, to oil and gas deals, he refers to it as a life that was never dull but certainly not for the fainthearted and one that often found him questioning his “Devil’s Bargain”.
Praise for The Devil’s Handshake:
“This story packs a solid whopping punch- greed, revenge and power explode across the board. Things are often not as they seem and the author has a great way of leading us down one path and then giving us a hard turn – masterfully creating hard core suspense. I was hooked by this book and also by the author.” –Wilson R.
“…I was in the market for something with the high caliber, edge of your seat suspense. The Devil’s Handshake definitely delivered. The high level of suspense coupled with the obvious attention to even the tiniest detail by the author places him on my “must read” author list.” –Diana

It has a 4.2 star rating with 30 reviews. “A spy story, detective novel, historical fiction and conspiracy thriller all rolled into one, but with a subtle blending that paints a complete picture and draws you into a post WWII world.” -C.Kruger
A Little About The Folks at Fifty-Eight:
Gerald Hammond is the exception to the rule; an honourable spy, whose lofty principles have brought him nothing but loneliness and isolation. Catherine Schmidt is the beautiful young daughter of an assassinated spymaster, whose murderous quest for vengeance has left her at the hands of the infamous Head of Soviet State Security. On a secret operation, in Soviet-occupied Germany, Hammond has no knowledge of the forces that support and oppose his mission. He only knows that he must somehow save her to save himself, but, as ever-more disturbing revelations arise, begins to wonder which poses the greater threat; the enemy he runs from, or the friend he runs to? Set against a factual background of government conspiracy, and one of the most audacious espionage coups in history, the Folks at Fifty-Eight is a beautifully-paced tale of seduction, betrayal, blackmail, and murder that blurs the boundaries between fact and fiction.
