Hello, I am a novice writer of an 8/12 x 11 – 85-page poetry/autobiography/memoir. I would like to get my “draft”, now on Kindle, reviewed before I publish it. Real names. Real events. During four decades—1980-2020 the arts council 70 Merrion Square (Dublin) received government grants totalling over 1.6 billion. Their worst kept secrets are hierarchy, careerism, imposition of ‘arts policy’ and fear in controlling the national arts-scene.
A Haughey-esque bogus group ‘aosdána’ infiltrated the council in the 1980s. Self-elected to siphon euro-millions for themselves, being nowhere enshrined in any law or statutory instrument.
